I had to draw fanart for this heartwarming little story.  My sister suggests that there should be a sequel where they adopt Teddy Roosebelt.

Engineer knocked on the side of his friend’s door. “Soldier?” He yelped and quickly ducked when a pillow was chucked at him.

“I DIDN’T WANT THIS!!! YOU FORCED ME TO HAVE THE ABORTION!!!”

“Look, just hear me out.”

“I’M A MURDERER!!!”

“Will you shut up!?! Look, I got you this.” Feeling slightly bad for the pillow incident, the Texan held out his own Teddy Roosebelt towards the pouting and whimpering man. “It’s uh… I adopted him. For us to raise. Yeah.”

Soldier stared at the plush toy and blinked. “… If it’s made in China, I’m not raising any Communist babies.”

“SOLDIER, IT’S NOT!!!”
