This is the best thing I have ever drawn
Scout as a Tengu, with colour.  I decided to forgo my usual gooshy colouring style for the sake of trying to give this one a vaguely woodblock-print-like appearance.  If I’m feeling super fancy later I might try to add more paper effects or even give this a border. A lot of the ukiyo-e that were sold in the west when Japonisme became a thing had their frills or border decorations cut off, and these are now worth a lot less- much like a painting’s frame was once worth more than the illustration inside of it, the frill was meant to be a part of the finished piece!
