Finished the picture of Jinbe and Mihawk in suits.  For the sake of those wondering why, this came out of my sister observing that Jinbe looks a lot like Penn Jillette; naturally, I had to draw him with a much shorter partner wearing a similar but nonidentical suit when I did the picture.

My sister commented that Jinbe bears an uncanny resemblance to magician/comedian/libertarian Penn Gilette, so naturally, I had to draw this.  Even though he and Mihawk haven’t been shown interacting in One Piece, I like to imagine that they’re bros.  They’re the only two original Shichibukai who aren’t completely insane.

I’m always a little torn about being proportionately accurate when I try to draw pictures like this.  There’s a four foot difference in height between these two, but if I accurately depict them for size, I’ll end up with a tiny Mihawk and a picture that’s mostly Jinbe’s chest.

Finished version of the comic about Onion Heart. 

I still can’t get over all the weird character designs in One Piece. 

More One Piece fun, in the form of a dumb gag comic.  This is the one about Onion Heart.  If you’re unfamiliar with the series, all you really need to know is that the enormous sleeping character is enormous, a heavy sleeper, and he has stitches running up from his crop to his forehead.

 I’ll probably do a cleaned up version of this just because I like drawing comics, (even though I’m kind of terrible at them, bleh), and I think the gag is funny enough.
