This is the best thing I have ever drawn

There is no truer form of love than self-love.

I’m scared, but determined to finish this…. even if it’s over two months since it was Hinamatsuri, which incidentally falls on my birthday.  When I was a kid, I thought that it might be awesome to be guaranteed some kickass antique-style Japanese dolls as a birthday gift.

My sister told me that he should be yelling, “KANEDAAA”.
I just wanna know if Kid and Killer both tried peeing on the third rail during the timeskip, they’re both covered in huge gnarly scars now.

Trying to draw something mushy, and I start worrying that one of the characters’ bodies is just too ridiculous-looking for me to take the picture seriously.
His giant butt, mostly.

Trying to become less wimpy about backgrounds, so I decided to hash out the background for my latest before I start on the figures.

Then I realized that there was a “Straw Hat” who is so cute that I have no excuse for not doing any fanart of him earlier. (Okay, so I really need to also do art of Franky and Robin)

No, not Tony Tony Chopper- honestly, he’s a little creepy looking IMO.  It’s Brook, the Gentleman Skeleton!  The fun parts of this picture are going to be the violin and finding a way to make the background interesting enough to offset his impossibly long legs.

Wanting to draw but having no idea what to draw is a sad thing.  I’ve spent enough time diddling around with the two on the top that I sort of like them now, so maybe I’ll try to do a nicer version.
The chipper-looking little man elf is Galen San’jean (St-Jean) one of my original characters, in his World of Warcraft incarnation.  I rolled a WoW version of him entirely because I wanted to have a mage who could wear this armor.  Galen always smells kind of foul because he forgets to clean his boots off after he’s been hunting and skinning animals so he can make them into fancy footwear for the family business.
The other sketches are just Gecko Moria making it with his own shadow and a really scrappy picture of myself.

Croesu, my beloved fruity orc lock and member of my “roster of toons with names that nobody on Vent can pronounce” (alongside Odileocta, Sanjean and Otthilde).
When I first rolled Cro back in BC, it took me three hours to realize that his hair was purple and not black.  I’d say it was his destiny to be an aging swinger with a thing for manly men (and manly women), but considering who his player is, I’m sure he would have ended up like that anyways.

More fanart of this fat bastard.  I’m sure some people wonder why 99% of what I draw is fanart.  The answer is that I draw fanart when I don’t know what I want to draw, and I almost always don’t know what I want to draw.  I figure it’s better than drawing nothing, and even the cartoony crap I’ve done has helped me get better at things like inking and rendering shapes.
Also, hello to the people from Y!Gallery who have started following me!  I promise that I do post porn here at least some of the time, and I don’t really post much aside from my art on this blog, so just bear with me.  I realized a while back that there was no point in just trying to do what would get me followers if I didn’t enjoy it anymore, which is why I stopped making endless TF2 porn.

My sister commented that Jinbe bears an uncanny resemblance to magician/comedian/libertarian Penn Gilette, so naturally, I had to draw this.  Even though he and Mihawk haven’t been shown interacting in One Piece, I like to imagine that they’re bros.  They’re the only two original Shichibukai who aren’t completely insane.
I’m always a little torn about being proportionately accurate when I try to draw pictures like this.  There’s a four foot difference in height between these two, but if I accurately depict them for size, I’ll end up with a tiny Mihawk and a picture that’s mostly Jinbe’s chest.

Did someone say “lesbians”?

After an afternoon of fruitless sketching, I like this enough that I might actually do a finished version.

What, you thought I wasn’t going to draw this anymore?

I’m still determined to overcome my fear of backgrounds and the “white person guilt” that I seem to be developing every time I draw a pretty, idealized-looking cartoon character.  Ugh.

Let me tell you about how much I like fat bitches.
